October 5th and 6th, 2024

The Florida Orchestra and The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay kick off their 2024-25 seasons with Ravel’s Bolero, Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, and Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Choros 10.

Also on the program is De Falla’s Gardens of Spain, featuring pianist Chelsea Guo.

Classical Christmas

December 13th and 14th, 2024

A cozy concert that evokes a traditional Christmas on the cobbled streets of a snow-covered village. Featuring music by John Rutter, traditional carols, an audience sing-along, and more!

Belshazzar’s Feast

February 22nd and 23rd, 2025

Michael Francis welcomes world-renowned soloist Olga Kern to perform one of the most memorable passages in music, Tchaikovsky’s striking Piano Concerto No. 1. This epic concert also features William Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast, which brings back baritone Donnie Ray Albert and The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay. The dramatic oratorio is sure to bring down the house.

Mahler: Symphony No. 3

May 24th & 25th, 2025

Gustav Mahler said: “The symphony must be like the world. It must embrace everything.” That has never been truer than his Symphony No. 3 – an immense, cosmic work that speaks to everyone. Nature and its place in human life infuses all six movements. Michael Francis conducts this grand event, featuring mezzo-soprano Susan Platts, the Women of The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and Lumina Youth Choirs.

WORLD PREMIERE

In a program celebrating innovation and ingenuity, The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and chamber orchestra delivers texts from two of history’s brilliant minds: Leonardo da Vinci and Marie Curie.

The program feature’s Jocelyn Hagen’s Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci and the world premiere of a piece by Natalie Draper, who has been commissioned by The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay.

Big Sing St. Pete

Saturday, November 9th
5:30 PM at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg

Join The Master Chorale for a fun, social, FREE, group singing experience. 
​The BIG SING is open to everyone, regardless of musical training or experience.

The event takes place just before The Florida Orchestra’s Pops in the Park concert.

Going to the Show

Tampa Theatre and Palladium Theater

A music education offering that reaches more than 2,000 children in Hillsborough and Pinellas County. The event advocates for lifelong music-making and teaches fundamental elements of music participation.
